Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. It is also the kids Spring Break so that has been nice for them. Saturday Jayden and Sydney went to Menan to the Easter Egg hunt. After that we had a family yard cleaning day(not as much fun). Later that night we had a ton of fun painting eggs. This year we did glitter eggs and Stars Wars. The kids had fun even the older 2. The weather was really nice on Saturday. Sunday we woke up and it was very yucky outside. We went to church and then Chelsie made deviled eggs and I made funeral potatoes and we headed to Menan for an Easter dinner. It was nice to see everyone and have an enjoyable day. I wish the weather would have been a little nicer, but what do you do. And no Sonny has not left our family he was really sick this weekend and spent the entire weekend in bed sick. Even with Saturday being so very nice he could not even get out of bed to golf. (he did watch it on TV) I think he is starting to feel better today, but it has been a long week for him.

Cheer season comes to an end.

The girls were very busy this year with Cheer leading. They were able to go to Salt Lake a few time and to nationals in LAs Vegas. They have both learned so much and they have both done so well. We have been so very proud of them. Jayden and Chelsie have been very good sports about it. Some of the competitions are all day long and can get pretty boring, but they hung in there. It is really hard to get some pictures of them out on the florr because they move so fast. If I can figure out how to put video on here maybe I will upload one of the videos of them preforming. It is pretty cool.

This winter we were pretty busy. I tried to snowboard for the very first time. It is so much harder than the kids make it look. I had a lot of fun learning how and the kids and Sonny were very patient with me. Sydney also learned how to snowboard as well. She caught on much better than I did. I think she recovered the next day much better than I did as well. We spent a lot of time together as a family this winter since mom and dad were getting ready to leave for the mission. We went to Alex and Kris's for Christmas Eve and spent the evening together. For New Years we rented a cabin and the kids had a blast just hanging out. We were able to go to Temple Square this year around Christmas time and enjoy the lights it was cold, but the kids enjoyed it. Over all we were busy, but had fun.
