One of my friends make hair bows and I love them. Syd Jeanne looked so cute today dressed in her pink for her Valentines day. I could not resist I pulled out the camera and took more oictures. I think thatwe need to have a bow making party. I am not sure how long I will be able to get her to wear bows. hopefully awhile longer.

Let it Blow, Let it Blow, let it Blow

So now for my morning routine I wake up at 6:00 turn on local news 8 and sit and watch to see if school will be out for the day. This has become my routine now for about 3 weeks. I do not remember a winter like this for sometime now. I recall the year that Granny J was stuck at our house for about a week and then I recall a time when I was younger. We would watch the news at 6 p.m. and they would already have schools closed. Dist. 93 rarely closes anymore but today they closed as well. I have to tell you I HATE IT! Our mail lady left a note telling us that if we did not keep the area around our mailbox cleared that she would not delover mail. This morning I got up and went out and tried to clear at least some of it. Needless to say we did not get mail today. Since the kids were home from school they had cousins come over to play in the snow. They rode the snowmobile around the yard pulling each other. I recall last year the kids asking us to do this, but we would have had to drive to Island park to get enough snow. Not this year all we have to do is walk out the back door.

Superbowl fun

Syd Jeanne spent most of the time teaching the other kids how to stunt. We only ended up with one small injury, Skylee recieved a bruised cheek. All in all they had a blast.

We had a ton of fun and way too much food. The Burgie Family got together for the Superbowl. It really is just a ton of fun. I had to laugh a little Syd Jeanne told me that one of her friends was going to go to church on Sunday. She said well it is the Super Bowl why would she go to church on a holiday. I had to explain to her that it was not a holiday. We did miss church since the game started at 4 and we do not get out until 4 we decided to take the day off. It worked out well because it was a week off of teaching for both Sonny and I. We really did have a good time. I am not really into the game. I prefer the food so i helped the little girls make Valentines cards. The rest of tehm watched the game. We had to record it so that we could start it once everyone made it here so Whitney got tired of waiting to see who won and she came upstairs and weatched the end of the game an 45 minutes before everyone else knew who won. She was a good sport and did nto ruin the suprise for anyone else. Jonah was noce enough to scrap our driveway and in front of our house for the 3rd time that day. I am so tired of the snow, but I am sure I will appreciate it once it all melts into the rivers.
