camping

Last weekend we went camping with Shay and Heather and Sara and her Kids. We went up to a place just up past Albion. It is up past Pommerell Ski resort. It was so pretty up there. We had a really good time. The days were warm and the evenings we a little cold, but very nice. We had several Deer that came right through our site. The kids loved it. Syd Jeanne learned to widdle and she spent most of her time doing this. We drove up to the top of the mountain to the fire look out point. It was pretty neat. You could see 100 miles in each direction. While we were up there Sonny thought it would be fun for us to hike down to Dry Lake. So we all hiked down even the dogs. Going down was not too bad. We hit a patch of snow and the kids (and Sara) had fun sliding on it. Once we got down to the lake the dogs were in heaven. Whit feel on some rocks just as we got to the bottom and she hit her cheek on some rocks so she was not having as much fun. The real task was getting up the mountain. We decided to just go straight up and it was very tuff. Sonny and the dogs had a tuff time. Kusko is a little out of shape and he decided he did not want to hike anymore. After we all got to the top Shay went back down the mountain a little to help with the dogs. I was pretty scared they were not going to make it and I was trying to figure out how we would get a 160 pound dog up the mountian. Buddy had more energy then he needed. While we were climbing Jayden found a big peice of a war plane that crashed there in 1945. He carried above his head all the way to the top. I was so proud of him that I actually let him keep the piece although I am not sure what we are going to do with it. We had a lot of fun and we would like to go back again. Chelsie being Chelsie what more can I say.

This is Kusko after the long hike. I think he was a little out of it.

This is what we hiked. We went down on one side and back up this. It was not easy at all

Whitney not happy after taking a fall.
This is Chelsie, Sara and I trying to tell each other that we can make it we just need to take a rest for a minute.

Resting after a long day. I think Kusko may have hated us at this point.

i can't believe she is 8

Yes Syd Jeanne just turned 8. It is a little sad for me since she is my baby, but she is so happy. We went to Ross Park with a couple of her friends. We gave her a baby alive. Chelsie and Whitney think the baby is a little creepy, but Syd Jeanne loves her. She named her AJ. She has a diaper bag and everything. I think the hardest part is that you actually have to put the baby to sleep. Whitney said it is just too much work. I thinmk overall she had a great day. She can;t wait to be baptized. We will do that on August 4th. I will take lots of pictures.

swimming

The kids just got done with swimming lessons. This year they took them with Charity and Avery and Jalen and Kaden. It was a bit of a challenge to get them all there each day, but it was a lot of fun and since the weather here has been in the high 90's for the last 2 weeks they realy enjoyed it.

4th of july

We had a great 4th of July. We went to the parade in the morning with all of the kids. It was a little different this year. It was the 1st year in 34 years that I did not go to the parade with my mom. I did miss her so very much, but we still had fun. I made Sonny go with me to fill in for her. It was not the same, but it was still fun. After that we went to Menan and enjoyed some of the fun things out there. We enjoyed the fire works out in Menan. The guys got a little crazy and we almost blew up Sonnys dad. He survived and we had a ton of fun.
