For family home evening we carved pumkins. We invited Jonah and Kasha and their kiddies over. We also had Carli here visiting us. It was a pretty nice day so we carved the pumkins out in the garage. It was a lot of fun to let the kids pick their own design. I think Chelsie and Whitney felt like they were to old to be carving pumkins, but we have done this every year as a family. I hope it is something that we will always do.
This is Syd Jeanne's science project. About a month ago they planted a Lima Bean and learned how to grow it and take care of it. As you can tell she gets an A on this. She takes very good care of it. She is always makeing sure it has enough water and sun light. Maybe she has a little of Granpa Long in her.
I am not sure what she was doing. I think she was trying hard to be mad at us for something.
Here is a little info about the Burgies. It is a little long but kind of fun. 75 things to get to know Sonny summed up in 20. 1. I have a deep appreciation for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2. 1st snowman of the year. Jayden, Sonny and Syd Jeanne decided to take advantage of the snow. With all of the dirt it made a pretty dirty snowman.

This tree was almost broke in half.
Most of this tree had fallen. 
So we have lived in Rigby now for 2 weeks. For the most part it has been enjoyable. After 2 weeks we are able to park 2 cars in our garage. :) The dogs are learning that Rigby is a little different than in Idaho Falls. On Saturday we left for Jaydens football game. We had left the dogs untied because they have been pretty good about staying in the yard. When we returned Heather let us know that the dogs had started to wander around. We looked out back and the dogs are gone. Mind you we are surrounded by big empty fields. We figured they had been gone for about 30-40 minutes. Sonny, Shay and I all got in seperate cars and started looking for them. We searched for almost 2 hours. We decided to head back home. It was now about 2:30. We had no idea what to do or what direction they could have gone. We decided to just wait. At about 4:30 they decided to wander back home. We have no idea where they had been. Kusko was covered in burs. This only added to the mess that he was already since our lovely yard consists of nothing but dirt and it had rained for 2 days. I am not sure if he will ever be clean again. So this morning at about 5:30 we wake up to Kusko and Buddy barking like crazy. We look our the window and we have 3 horses running through the back yard. I am not really sure what Kusko thought of them, but he was not happy that they were in our yard. Well this went on for about an hour. The horses would run through the yard and then leave and return. Kusko was going nuts. How do you get a dog to stop barking at 3 large animals that are in his yard. Finally the horses were found and put back in the gate were they came from. It really has been great living here even with all the crazy things that go on in Rigby.
