Giving Thanks

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with the Burgie's. We had everyone over to our house for the big dinner. I have never been so grateful for a larger kitchen. We had a ton of fun and as alsways a ton of food. I made sweet potatoes for the very first time. They were actually really yummy. I was very grateful to be with some family for the holiday. I know that some of you were not with any family for this special day. It was a little difficult this year being without any of you. I miss being with my family so much. Each one of you are such a big part of my life. i am so very grateful for each of you and for the love and support you give my family. i look forward to us all being together again. It made me miss mom and dad very much. This was the first year out of 34 that I did not get to see them on Thanksgiving. I am so grateful to them for the example they are to me and my children. I am grateful for the sacrifice that they are making for all of us. They are the ones over there serving our church, but we are the ones that are receiving the blessings. I think being withou them and all of you it will make me be more thankful for the times we are able to be together as a family. I love each of you.

Cheer is here again

Syd Jeanne had her 1st cheer competion for this year. Her little team was up against 3 other teams in her level. Her team placed 1st. It was pretty excitting for the 1st performance to turn out so well. Here are a couple pictures. I am trying to upload a video of the performance. We will see if it works.

Sonny at his best

Friday night we went to our Halloween party. Sonny decided to look his very best. He went as Marliyn Monroe and I went as a baseball player. We had a ton of fun. Sonny won best costume. I think every year that we go he wins, but I think every year he goes as a girl of some sort. He did the makeup himself. I have to admit that part was somewhat weird. And yes he is wearing nylons (control top)

These moments make it all worth it!

After we came home from Trick or Treating we had to leave and drop the car off to Chelsie. We laid Carli down to bed and tucked Syd Jeanne in. I asked Jayden to stay upstairs with Syd Jeanne while she fell asleep. We were only gone for about 20 minutes. When we came home we found Jayden snuggled up to Syd Jeanne in her bed. I guess she was a little scared so he went to lay with her to comfort her. It was one of the sweetest moments. I have to say it really does make me look at this and it makes the crazy times worth it.

Halloween time

Well I have to say this Halloween was a little odd for us. I miss mom not being here to help with the costumes so we had to make up our own. Luckliy we had some old ones we could use. We really did not have dinner I think because mom was not here to make the Chili. I did buy donuts and that was about it. Chelsie and Whitney hung out with friends. We took Jayden, Carli, and Syd Jeanne trick or treating. We found a trunk or treat and that really helped. It was fun to have Carli with us. We miss having family around and can't wait to have more of you back here. Oh I also missed mom's cookies. I think this is the 1st year I did not have one. I guess it is time to grow up and start making some of this myself.
